Armed Ashby Convenience Store Robber Hits Up Several Stores In Weeks: Police

Asby Police are seeking the public's help in identifying a man believed to be behind a string of armed convenience store robberies in several communities over the past few weeks.

Police believe the man is responsible for three robberies, and potentially more, that started on December 20, 2022 at the Convenience Mart at 1274 Main Street, Ashby Police report. During the encounter, the suspect told the cashier that he had a knife but did not pull one out, police said. 

The second robbery happened at the Convenience Mart again, this time with the suspect exposing a knife and telling staff that he had a gun. Both times, the suspect stole an undisclosed amount of money before running away, police said. 

The third and most recent robbery happened at the Low Low Convenience Store, located at 704 Fitchburg State Road,  on Sunday, Jan. 1, police said. 

During this incident, the suspect reportedly robbed the store at knife-point and left with an undisclosed amount of cash. He was last seen driving south on Fitchburg State Road in a white four-door GMC pickup truck, police said. 

No injuries were reported in any of the robberies, police added. Police described the suspect as a man wearing a black ski mask, gray winder hat, red shirt and black winter jacket.
